Bot Libre Desktop is a simple desktop interface for chatting with a bot.
The bot can be trained by correcting it while chatting with it.

Note that scripts are executed before response patterns, so if you have an AIML script loaded in your bot for the same pattern, it will take precedence.

To do the same in AIML you could use something like,

I'm totally newbie, I have downloaded the desktop version.

I saw there are a lot of Java script inside the bot app directory but nothing happen when I try to launch them.

I only can use the chat bot (i'm not interested to it) .

 

Is it there a guide available for the desktop version to learn and build (locally) bots?

You can do this in a response list using something like.

Pattern("do you like *")

The pattern for that script that overrides the "is * a color" pattern is,

This script requires that bot has information on names imported.

What do you mean by "already knows"?

In general in AIML if you define a response for something more specific, that response will be used.

The local is not the timezone, it just affects how the date is printed.

To set the timezone of the date use the "timezone" attribute set to the GMT hour offset.

<date format="%I: %p" timezone="+2" locale="en_US"/>

You can also use Self to print a date, even from AIML,

<template>The local time is: <self>Date.setTimeZone(Date.time(), "EST")</self></template>

how would I prevent a chatbot from asking a question it already knows?

the I am part of the free aiml2 script not working in tester chatbot.

i want pioyu2 chatbot to say the time in texas it is currently.

it's response to the question what time it is is the locale time is:9: AM. when it is actually 7 am.

i thought my script would be a easier way to access the knowledge my chatbot already has without having to program it again.And what you posted you have to program it again.

I imported this AIML script into a bot's scripts, and tested it and it did work.

Ensure you have set the #eat variable in the bot.

The best way to train a bot is to import a "Response List" file or enter the questions and responses from the bot's Training & Chat Logs page in its Admin Console.

To have your avatar display emotions it requires media (video, image) tagged with the emotion, action, or pose. Make sure to only tag a media with one, as if you tag a media with "happy" and "smile" it will only use that media when it is happy AND smiles.

I have made my own Q & A responses, i would like to train the bot with a real brain, how to begin with? Something like parsing  the questions like a real AI. Do you have some sample? Thanks.

I did this steps but unfortunately  it did not work, no facial  expressions  of emotions  has shown on avatar, it only shows the action like happy, sad, etc on the screen. What i want is gestures and emotions .

So your issue is you have another pattern that is taking precedence.

What do you mean by save?
If you want to backup your avatar locally you can export it. Select Export from the avatar's main menu (you can only export your own avatars).

How do I save it?

I figured it out.the think and condition part was named the same way as another script.

pioyu the chatbot work okay when I type dance and stop dancing.but she does not work with start running and stop running.

If they were not pinned, then they will be deleted.

Well it depends how corrupte it is.
If you have a script or response that is not working, you can delete and re-add the script or response.

does deleting all unpinned data delete aiml scripts?

if my chatbot is corrupted what can I do?

Your response for "stop running" seems to be using the response "I have already stopped running".

Perhaps give the response list of the responses you have entered.
