I tested your bot and its default response is working.
I typed "x" and it gave its default response.

Self does not use XML, so it sounds like you are trying to import it as AIML.
Make sure you import it as Self.

You can use a Template for this. A Template lets you include code inside a response or auto post.

When your pattern has a single star wildcard then the variable is just "star"

That does not allow chatbots to develop their own likes and dislikes.It would make them more human.

Will these chatbots will be able to develop there own likes and dislikes in the future?It could be how all of them are.If the user enable  it.

Basic accounts only check there status once per day.
You need upgrade your account to have your bot check more often.

Like for instance if the chatbot asked the question,"What does instant mean?"Because the chatbot did not know what it meant.And you had typed,"I like instant coffee."

The name inquiry is kind of deceptive.I thought it was a script that would allow my chatbot to ask a question about a word  it does not know the meaning of.That is a script i was hoping it was.

I'm trying to integrate BotLibre in my project: I've been able to successfully create bots and provide them with a consistent knowledge base, but still I'm not able to make them persistent on the DB, for a pending dialog to be resumed at a later time.

I suppose my entry point is Bot.createInstanceFromPool with isSchema="true" (correct?), but it always fails with the following message:
